Construction Supervision

Summary from Contractor

Bridge No.2: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of launching and 10 spans of deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparison with the progress schedule.

Bridge No.3: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. Launching work was finished. Diaphragm work and deck slab were finished. Total activities completion was 97%. Total progress was 60 days behind from the expected finishing date by the end of December 2003.

Bridge No.4: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All launching work and deck slabs were completed and remaining expansion joints. Total activities completion was 98%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparision with the progress schedule.

Bridge No.5: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of launching and all spans of deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparison with the progress schedule.

Bridge No.6: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of  launching and 4 spans of diaphragm were completed. All spans deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Construction progress was delayed in comparison with the progress schedule.

Bridge No.7: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All launching work and all spans of deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparison with the progress schedule.

Construction Supervision by Engineer

Clearing and grubbing: All clearing and grubbing area were completed

Earthworks: 

Excavation work was under construction and 657,160 m3 of 659,000m3 was completed. Embankment work  was under construction and 121,218 m3 of 121,218 m3 was completed. Percent completion of excavation 99.7% and embankment 100%. Generally, excavation work was late. The Contractor should speed-up the work progress.

Pavement: 

Production of aggregate subbase and aggregate base were at yard. Subbase work was finished in this month: Subbase course layer 1 were finished at Km10+233 to Km10+350, Km10+350 to Km10+499, Km10+633 to Km10+800, Km11+660 to Km11+740. Subbase course layers 2 were finished at Km8+125 to Km8+204, Km10+633 to Km10+800. Top subbase course at Km9+572 to Km9+681, Km9+830 to Km10+083, Km10+633 to Km10+800. Completed aggregate subbase quantity was about 80.00%.

Base work were finished in this month: Base course layer 1 were finished at Km11+040 to Km11+240. Completed aggregate base quantity was about 3%.

Retainning:

Retaining wall at the back of southern abutment bridge No.3 and southern abutment bridge No.4 was completed 100%. Retaining wall at the back of southern abutment bridge No2 was carried out.

Culvert work:

1. Box culvert at KM9+115 concrete work has completed. 

2. Under pass at KM11+260 have been completed.

3. Pipe culvert at KM11+050 have been completed.

4. Pipe culvert at KM11+290 have been completed.

5. Pipe culvert at KM11+660 is carried out.

Schedule overview

Total schedule is just on the schedule based on the new construction schedule establish at November 2003.

Earthwork of road works is also going to be delay. Contractor was requested to review equipment schedule.

Earthwork area 7, area 10 seem to be delayed compared with the expected schedule finishing.
