Construction Supervision

Summary from Contractor

Bridge No.2: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of launching and 10 spans of deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction will be finished at 14th January 2004.

Bridge No.3: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. Launching work was finished. Diaphragm work and deck slab were finished. Total activities completion was 90%. Total progress was 30 days behind from the expected finishing date by the end of December 2003.

Bridge No.4: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All launching work and deck slabs were completed and remaining expansion joints. Total activities completion was 98%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparision with the expected finishing date in the end of December 2003.

Bridge No.5: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of launching and all spans of deck slab were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction was delayed in comparision with the expected finishing date in the end of December 2003.

Bridge No.6: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All spans of launching and 4 spans of diaphram were completed. 3 spans deck slap were completed. Total activities completion was 95%. Progress of construction will be finished at 30th January 2004.

Bridge No.7: All sub-structures were completed for concrete work. All launching work and all spans of deck slap were completed. Total activities completion was 97%. Progress of construction will be finished at 23nd January 2004.

Construction Supervision by Engineer

Bridge No.2

Substructure

North abutment was completed of concrete works. Pier No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 were completed of concrete works up to cross head. South abutment was completed of concrete works.

Superstructure

Span 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 were finished the concrete work.

Girder Production

50 nos. of 50 girder was finished production.

Bridge No.3

Substructure:

North Abutment, South Abutment were completed of concrete works.

Superstructure:

1 span was finished the concrete work.

Girder Production:

5 nos. of 5 girder were finished the production.
 

Bridge No.4

Substructure

All sub-structures were completed for concrete work.

Superstructure

All launching work and deck slabs were completed and remained the expansion joint.

Bridge No.5

Substructure

All sub-structure were completed for concrete work.

Superstructure

All spans were finished the concrete work.

Girder Production

20 nos. of 20 girders is finished production.

Bridge No.6

Substructure

All sub-structures were completed for concrete work.

Superstructure

5 span were finished the launching. All spans were finished the concrete work.

Girder Production

25 nos. of 25 girders were finished the production.

Bridge No.7

Substructure

All sub-structure were completed for concrete work.

Superstructure

4 Spans were finished the launching. All spans were finished the concrete work.

Girder Production

All of girder 20 nos. were finished the production

Road Works

Clearing and grubbing:

All clearing and grubbing area were completed

Earthworks

Excavation work was under construction and 655,860 m3 of 659,000m3 was completed. Embankment work was under construction and 121,218 m3 of 121,218 m3 was completed. Completion percentage of excavation was 99.5% and embankment 100%. Generally, the excavation work was late. The Contractor should speed-up the work progress.

Pavement:

Production of aggregate subbase were at yard. Subbase work were finished in this month as follows:

Subbase course layer 2 were finished at Km8+900 to Km9+397, Km9+580 to Km9+770.

Subbase course layers 1 was finished at Km10+233 to Km10+500 and Km10+633 to Km10+800.

Completed aggregate subbase quantity was about 71.045%

Retainning:

Retaining wall at the back of southern abutment bridge No3 and southern abutment bridge No4 were completed 100%.

Retaining wall at the black of southerm abutment bridge No2 was under construction.

Culvert work:

1. Box culvert at KM9+115 concrete work was completed.

2. Under pass at KM11+260 was completed.

3. Pipe culvert at KM11+050 was completed.

4. Pipe culvert at KM11+290 was completed.

5. Pipe culvert at KM11+660 was not started yet

Schedule overview

Total schedule is just on the schedule based on the new construction schedule establish at November 2003.

Earthwork of road works is also delayed. Contractor was requested to review the equipment schedule.

Earthwork of area 7, area 10 seem to be delayed in comparison with the expected finishing schedule.
