he Scope of Works listed below is for the construction of the 110/22 kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) Substation/Operation Control Centre for the Hai Van Pass Tunnel and 110 kV Transmission Line in the framework of the Hai Van Pass Tunnel Construction Project is intended to give the description of the Works required.

1. 110/22 KV GIS SUBSTATION/OPERATION CONTROL CENTRE AND ASSOCIATED FACILITIES

2. ELECTRICAL AND CONTROL SYSTEMS

2.1 HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM

* Single busbar configuration 123 kV rated indoor GIS type switchgear with:
* Two (2) line bays
* Two (2) power transformer bays
* One (1) bus coupler
* Equipped with circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, connectors, hardware, etc.
* Two (2) power transformers 110/22 kV, 10 MVA rated, with on-load tap-changer

2.2 MEDIUM VOLTAGE SYSTEM

* Single busbar configuration metalclad 24 kV rated indoor GIS type switchgear with:
* Two (2) incoming bays
* Two (2) distribution transformer bays
* One (1) bus coupler bay
* Four (4) outgoing feeder bays
* Equipped with disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, protection relays, digital power analysers, etc.
* Two (2) distribution transformers 22/0.416-0.240 kV, 1600 kVA, Dyn 11

2.3 LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEM

* Main LV Distribution Board
* Auxiliary Distribution Boards (AC and DC)
* Batteries and Batteries Charger
* Interior and Exterior Lighting and Small Power Systems

2.4 STANDBY POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

* Two (2) Diesel Generator sets 1000 kW each
* Two (2) fuel supply systems with 1 (one) day capacity fuel storage tanks 

2.5 SUBSTATION EARTHING AND LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEMS

Complete 110/22 kV GIS Substation/Operation Control Centre Primary and Secondary Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems.

2.6. TELECOM SYSTEM

Complete Telecom System for 110/22 kV GIS Substation/Operation Control Centre successful operation.

2.7. ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

Complete Access Control System for 110/22 kV GIS Substation/Operation Control Centre successful operation.

2.8. RACEWAY NETWORK FOR SCADA SYSTEMS

Complete Raceway Network for various tunnel SCADA systems' cabling to the Control Room, Operators' and/or Engineer' premises (Tunnel Power Monitoring and Control, Tunnel Ventilation Control, Tunnel Traffic Control, Fire Alarm and Detection, CCTV Surveillance, Public Address and Radio Rebroadcast, Tunnel SOS Telephone, etc.). The Raceway Network shall accommodate all required cabling (including Substation/Control Centre own) with allowances up to 100% expansion.

3. 110 KV POWER TRANSMISSION LINE

The 110 kV Power Transmission Line shall be constructed from two sections:
* 110 kV Overhead Line
* 110 kV Underground Line

3.1. 110 KV OVERHEAD LINE CONDUCTORS AND ACCESSORIES

The current-carrying conductor shall consist of ťaluminium strands reinforced with a core of galvanised steel wires (ACSR), the earthing wire shall be stranded galvanised steel wire (GSW). 

3.3. UNDERGROUND 110 KV TRANSMISSION LINE

Approx. 300 m from the 110 kV Substation/Operation Control Centre the Overhead Transmission Line shall be transferred to the Underground Transmission Line.
This transfer shall take place on the dedicated yard located by the Contractor and suitable for the installation of the related equipment required for such transfer.
From this point the Contractor shall design and construct underground ductbank with associated manholes for installation of the Underground Transmission Line.
The Underground Transmission line shall be executed by 123 kV rated XLPE insulated power cables as stated in the Detailed Technical Specification and shown on the related drawings and diagrams.
