Progress Report > Package IB - South Tunnel Section
Main Tunnel breakthrough ceremony was held on 7th November 2003, Evacuation Tunnel excavation was completely finished by 30 November 2003. Bench excavation was completed to the contract limit at Sta. 2+397.825 then continued for PKIA and expected to finish by 10th December 2003. Total 155.2m excavated on East side and 163.1m excavated on West side. Tunnel lining continued with 49m of main tunnel, 31m of layby completed. Electrostatic Precipitator No. 3 is completed and for handed over to PK4 by 1st November 2003. Start excavation of EP No. 2 up to 30th November 2003, giving a total length of 78.8m from Sta. 0+111.6 to 0+153.1. PKIB contractor managed to improve progress of the side drain and cable duct/trough. During October zone P was completed and handed over to PK4 contractor to commence fire main installation works. Construction Supervision by Engineer Main Tunnel Finished excavation and breakthrough held on 7th November 2003 Face No.7
