Construction Supervision The 22 kV indoor switchgear (shipment no.3) arrived to site 19th of March 2003. The power transformers (shipment no. 4) arrived to site 27th of March 2003. Both power transformers were offloaded directly on their foundations inside the substation buildings. No transport damages were noted on these two shipments. In the substation building the focus has been on the activities that are on the critical path for package V. The work during the month has mainly been brick work, installation of electrical conduits, rendering and plastering. Further the two ton crane in the 110 kV GIS room has been installed and tested and the stairs from first floor to second floor have been made. The work on the canopies above the doors to the GIS rooms has also started. The excavation work for the 110 kV Transmission Line has continued and 90% is completed. Further the lean concrete and reinforcement steel work has started. The work on towers no. 6 and no. 11 has been stopped by the land owners claiming that the land acquisition has not been solved. This situation is serious and need to be solved on an urgent basis. The Mechanical Design of Lien Chieu Substation modification for Variation Order No.1 has been proceeding during this month. These drawings will be submitted for approval in April 2003.
