From Contractor

The Contractor is continuing with civil/architectural finishing and repair works on the OCC building. This work is months behind schedule and no concerted effort on the part of the sub-contractor to complete outstanding items. The air conditioning installation is still not complete. HV and MV cable installation is complete but high potential testing still not done due to Contractor failure to provide information on manufacturers recommendations. LV cable installation was 99% complete. All significant electrical equipment items were installed by end of September with the exception of one control/monitoring panel for the 110kV GIS.

The OPGW wire. Installed on the transmission line from Tower No. 1 to Tower No. 14 was completed and the fibre cable into the OCC was completed The transition yard steel erection is complete and surge arresters installed. Work began on transition yard earthing and perimeter wall.

Test and commissioning began with the GIS high voltage test and continued with scheduled tests on the GIS and the Control Room MicroSCADA. The Contractor schedule is for commissioning completion late November. This does not include V.O. No. 1 works. At the end of October it appears that commissioning may be completed, but with outstanding items, in late November.
