Progress Report > Package III - Electrical Works
The Contractor continued with electrical works installations in North and South Toll Plaza buildings. This is the only site work under this contract at this time. The majority of work at site is the preparation and submittal of manufacturers for approval and shop drawings. Coordination is ongoing between PKIII and PKIV for space, ventilation and cableway requirements at substations in the Electrostatic Precipitator areas (S/S 1, 2 and 4) and at the Ventilation Adit Building (S/S 6), S/S 3 at adit fresh air discharge near tunnel. Generally all significant issues have been resolved between PKIII and PKIV. The final shape and size of S/S # 5 was agreed and design modification of PK1A building drawings are under discussion as to extent and responsibility. General lighting and power designs for the Vehicle Maintenance Building have been approved and coordination with the builder, PK1B is ongoing. The Contractor continued to submit manufacturer's capability/certification materials and technical data for approval as suppliers of major systems and subsystems. Electrical power systems engineer arrived on site from ABB Finland to support submittals work, shop drawing development, and help resolve coordination issues with PKIV.
