Officials
to curb hawkers
Date:
April 08, 2002
Da
Nang authorities are to clamp down on hawkers at the Hai Van Pass near
Da Nang in a VND500 million project to create jobs for 120 peddlers.
The Pass,
which links Thua Thien-Hue Province to Da Nang City, is an attractive
stopover for tourists making their way from north to south. But after
years of complaints from visitors of the attentions of annoying sellers,
officials have moved to ease the problem.
